Breast Augmentation in Knoxville, TN
Your Breast Augmentation Procedure
Breast augmentation is performed under intravenous anesthesia, so you will sleep through the entire procedure, which generally lasts from one to two hours. After your breast enlargement surgery, you can expect to feel tired and sore for about one week. However, Dr. Lazarus will prescribe medication to control discomfort. All swelling and discomfort will diminish over the next few weeks, but you may be able to return to work about a week after surgery.
Breast enlargement can do wonders for a woman’s appearance and self-confidence. At our surgical practice in Knoxville, we have provided breast augmentation surgery since 1983 with great success. Visit Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Associates in Knoxville, Tennessee, for breast augmentation.

Saline Or Silicone Gel Breast Implants?
At the Knoxville plastic surgery practice of Dr. Stephen Lazarus, patients choose between silicone gel or saline breast implants for breast augmentation. The outer shell of saline breast implants is made from silicone, but they are filled with a saline (salt-water) solution. If there is a leak, the saline solution is safely absorbed by the body.
Silicone gel breast implants were approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for cosmetic breast augmentation in 2006. Many of our patients are now requesting silicone gel breast implants. Dr. Lazarus will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of silicone gel and saline implants to help you with your selection.
Breast augmentation surgery is performed at our AAAASF-accredited, in-office surgical suite. Our patients enjoy the added comfort of having their breast enlargement procedure performed in the privacy of our Knoxville office. Our Level III office-based surgical suite meets Tennessee state safety requirements, and we use all the technological equipment necessary for your comfort and safety.
The Latest Techniques For Natural-Looking Breasts
Dr. Stephen M. Lazarus of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Associates in Knoxville, Tennessee, performs breast augmentation, or enlargement, using breast implants of the highest quality and surgical precision to give patients the beautiful, natural-looking breasts they desire. Every breast augmentation is performed using the latest breast enlargement techniques and employing the artistry and safety of Dr. Stephen Lazarus, a board-certified plastic surgeon since 1983.
Breast augmentation enhances the contour of a woman’s body by increasing breast size. While many women feel their breast size is too small, there are other reasons for breast enlargement. At our Knoxville plastic surgery practice, we often perform breast augmentation to correct the loss of breast volume after pregnancy and breasts of different sizes.
During your preoperative consultation with Dr. Lazarus, you will discuss your breast augmentation goals. He will perform a thorough physical examination to determine if you are a good candidate for breast enlargement surgery. A breast lift may also be recommended if your breasts sag. With your goals in mind, Dr. Lazarus will help you determine which size breast implants will most accurately create your desired bust. Dr. Lazarus recommends breast implants that will effectively give you a dramatic, but natural, breast augmentation.
